Perera Wins Rookie of the Year Award! The Rookie of the Year Award went to Franck Perera. The Frenchman, although no stranger to the racing world was new to the Champ Car Atlantic Series and also racing in America. He was quick adapting to the car and every racetrack ever visited during the 2007 schedule. It was no fluke that he conquered the Rookie of the Year Award. From the very first time he sat at the wheel of the Condor Motorsports #11 machine he opened many eyes. From the very first test in which he drove the car at Laguna Seca Raceway. where he was the fastest amongst thirty cars in every session of the two scheduled days. It is no surprise that he was not only fast but the most consistent driver in the field. During the course of the 2007 Championship he finished every race inside the top five positions. Eight podium finishes in the last eight races leaves no question mark as the validity of his Rookie of the Year Title. Condor Motorsports very is proud of the job done by Franck and the whole team. A very deserving award for one of the fastest rookies ever to have competed in the Formula Atlantic Series.
