Brazilian Standout Danilo Dirani Joins Condor Motorsports.

Under sponsorship from Canary Foundation, Funcional Card, Sala Design and Perkons, fast Brazilian driver Danilo Dirani will vie for the 2006 Yokohama Presents The Champ Car Atlantic Championship Powered by Mazda.

“We tested Danilo a few weeks back and immediately realized his potential. He adapted well to the car and worked very well with our engineers. Thanks to a last-minute  acquired sponsorship we were able to put all the pieces together at the eleventh hour just in time to participate in the first official test for the new Swift 016 cars,” said Condor team owner Carlos Bobeda. ”We are extremely excited to have a driver of Danilo’s caliber on our team. As 2005 Atlantic Champions, it is our goal to be able to repeat last year’s performance. Dirani is a proven winner that brings talent, experience and furthermore he is hungry for success.”

The team is determined to stand behind his efforts to conquer the championship title and help him obtain the $2 million Champ Car Atlantic champion’s award. The unique prize established by the series organizers will hopefully help Dirani land a competitive seat in the Champ Car World Series in 2007.

Last year’s Condor driver, 2005 Toyota Atlantic Champion Charles Zwolsman, announced last week that he will participate in this year’s Champ Car World Series with Mi-Jack Conquest Racing. The talented Dutchman will be able to show his skills in the premium open-wheel series in the USA. Condor Motorsports is very proud to be a part in the success of this young driver and hopes to be able to do the same for Danilo in 2006.
